Water rates on the rise

The board of directors of Las Virgenes Municipal Water District adopted a $61.5 million budget that will likely include an increase in drinking water rates. The move would increase water rates more than 9 percent next year. Much of the hike comes from the Metropolitan Water District, LVMWD’s wholesale supplier of potable water.
